Why move to a leased line?

With the increasing opportunities presented by online services and cloud computing solutions, along with enhanced collaboration and communications platforms designed to make organisations more efficient, Internet connectivity is a key component in any business’s IT solution. With the availability of superfast broadband and the peace of mind of managed, fully guaranteed leased lines, poor broadband speeds need no longer hold back your business.

Improved connectivity

Leased lines are permanently connected, dedicated telecommunications lines sometimes referred to as private circuits. They are premium connectivity products, generally using fibre, which offers uncontended, symmetrical speeds (i.e. the same upload and download speeds). As leased lines are not shared, the quality of the line can be assured by the provided, meaning a vastly improved service compared to standard broadband connections.

What about Superfast Broadband?

Superfast broadband (also known as Fibre to the Cabinet ‘FTTC’ or Fibre to the Premises ‘FTTP’) is when a fibre cable runs from an exchange to a street cabinet that contains broadband equipment. From here it is linked to buildings and homes via an existing copper network which then connects the business to Fibre broadband (FTTC). Or FTTP that connects the business via fibre from the street cabinets. This results in fast download speeds with more resilience and stability than traditional broadband.

Lighting fast download speeds

Utilise web-based business applications, upload or download data very rapidly, even when several users are on the same connection, with less waiting time for rich media, large complex files and online business processes. The additional bandwidth will improve the performance of VPN’s, making uploading and downloading of files more efficient, meaning employees can work remotely more easily.
