Growth on the cards for Yorkshire firm

A recent splinter business is set for growth after securing the backing of a Yorkshire entrepreneur.
Growth on the cards for Yorkshire firm

The new Dynamic Networks brand launched last month, when three members of the former Blue Logic Networks and Electrical team left to set up as a stand-alone data networks, IT support, security systems and electrical services business.

This month sees entrepreneur Matthew Briggs join the Dynamic team as a non-executive director. Matthew's career to date includes founding corporate/commercial law firm Brilliant Law (now Genus Law) here in Yorkshire, as well as chief executive roles with Aviva and Capita plc and running the $1.6 billion sale of the RAC in 2011. He is also a non-executive director of the New Home Finder website, which launched in the region earlier this year.

Matthew says it was the unique blend of skills and an under-served marketplace, together with the energy and determination within the Dynamic Networks team that attracted him to the business: “I'm very alive to the challenges small businesses face, and I see huge potential for James and his team to grow the firm from their already impressive platform,” he says. “I believe that my experience, coupled with their drive and expertise, has the potential to be a winning combination."

“My role is to help Dynamic Networks develop a suite of sustainable, market-leading services that add value to their current clients as well as attracting new clients from new sectors.”

He says he'll be rolling up his sleeves to work alongside the team: “Lots of businesses talk about stategy and ideas. I'm here to help make those happen, and to keep the team focused on delivering the things we need to deliver in order to double the turnover James is targeting in the next 12 months.”

Dynamic Networks founder and owner James Baird says: “I'm very happy to have secured Matthew's support. He has founded, developed and sold a number of very successful businesses, and the blend of start-up, SME and corporate experience that he brings to the team will be invaluable in helping us achieve our growth plans.”

Dynamic Networks is based in Leeds and specialises in the design, specification and installation of structured cabling systems and wireless networks; security and access control systems, 24/7 IT support, electrical installation, testing and maintenance; alarm and home automation systems.

The additional investment secured through Kingland Capital provides a significant fund for the Management Team to hire likeminded industry professionals in-line with its hiring plan and also acquire complimentary Cloud Managed Service Providers as they continue their objective to be one of the fastest growing MSP’s in the UK with a strong reputation for quality service.
