Turning two

Last month we celebrated our second birthday as Dynamic Networks Group, and we couldn’t be prouder.
Turning two
So while normally we’re all about looking to the future and understanding the technology that will best help our clients work smarter, just for once we thought we’d take a short stroll down memory lane to remind ourselves of just how much our team has achieved in the last two years.

Life before Dynamic

As many of you will know, our business has been around for almost a decade. But it was in 2015 - when CEO James Baird bought back the networks business he set up in 2009 from its parent company and re-launched as a stand-alone IT, cyber, networks, security and electrical business - that Dynamic Networks Group was born.

James brought with him a core team, in-depth industry knowledge and a large forward order book, giving the rebranded business a strong start as an independent firm. Within six months, he had made the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year shortlist, and Dynamic was attracting a lot of attention in the region and beyond.

Having a solid reputation and an impressive track record of work to build on gave us a great start, but it is continually delivering on this reputation for quality work and fantastic service that has helped us become a force to be reckoned with.

Present and correct

Two years ago, Dynamic was a team of five people with big plans, delivering great work. Today, we have 39 team members working from our Head Office in Leeds. This successful, sustainable growth can only be achieved with the best people on board, and we’re proud to have attracted so much fantastic talent to the business. And we’re not stopping there. The team is set to grow even more as we prepare to welcome more new faces to the group in the coming weeks.

Looking to the future

You might have spotted that we’ve been very busy already this month: just days in and August has seen us launch our brand new website and complete the opening of a London office in response to demand for our IT, cyber security, networks and automation services from across the country. We’ve been working on a lot of projects in the capital, and having a base there will help us grow the business and better support our clients, without losing sight of our roots and the prestigious work we’re doing here in Yorkshire. We've also just recently become ISO 27001 certified, a huge achievement for the team.

The last two years at Dynamic have been a whirlwind - of the best kind – and it’s been a pleasure to work alongside so many fantastic people and businesses. A lot has changed, but there’s also a lot that hasn’t; namely a great team with a focus on bringing traditional service values together with the latest technological innovations. That approach sits at the heart of the success we’ve achieved so far, and we believe it will stand us in very good stead for the future, too.

Dynamic insights & advice

Dynamic Networks completes a Management Buyout and commences its acquisition strategy.

"David Smith (CEO) and Gareth Leece (COO) have successfully completed an MBO of Dynamic Networks, working with Paul Landsman of Kingland Capital. The MBO provides for a simplification of the Board structure to allow for its continued accelerated growth strategy. The additional investment secured through Kingland Capital provides a significant fund for the Management Team to hire likeminded industry professionals in-line with its hiring plan and also acquire complimentary Cloud Managed Service Providers as they continue their objective to be one of the fastest growing MSP’s in the UK with a strong reputation for quality service. Further announcements to follow."
