Who are Kautex?
Established in 1949, Kautex is one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers, developing and producing blow-molded fuel systems, selective catalytic reduction systems, clear vision systems and engine camshafts alongside plastic industrial packaging solutions from 31 facilities in 14 countries. The global business prides itself on maintaining a ‘first to market’ approach with products and innovation.
Kautex manufactures fuel systems and packaging products at its 480,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Liversedge, supplying to the automotive sector worldwide. Much of the production equipment on site relies on a consistent wireless connection to operate effectively, and the maintenance team requires a reliable Wi-Fi connection in order to carry out essential equipment maintenance. The Kautex team was experiencing regular Wi-Fi dropout, which was interfering with production and maintenance schedules and - ultimately - costing the business money.
The result
From the initial survey to the implementation of our recommendations, everything was completed in a very short timeframe with minimal disruption to the plant’s day-to-day operations and completely eliminating the connectivity issues on site. The overriding result has been a dramatic improvement in uptime at the plant, which the team says has resulted in greater productivity across the board.
