We keep networks working

Data cabling is the backbone of your network infrastructure. In fact your IT cabling system is the foundation for broadcasting and transferring data and multimedia information throughout your business and premises. It ensures everyone who needs to can access and use your network as well as controlling the speed data can travel around that network. It is a vital element of any corporate or professional IT network and it’s vital that the right solution is expertly installed and thoroughly performance tested, and that’s where the Dynamic team can help.

We start by testing your current network performance to see whether everything is running at optimum speeds, giving you a detailed report reviewing your network performance and speed. From there, we’ll advise you on any upgrades, redesign, network enclosures and cabling containment or electrical cabling installation work that’s needed to get your network performing as it should.

Not all cables are equal

Structured cabling is defined by categories (Cat 5, 6, 7 and 8) and these categories refer to the rate at which the required data can be transferred across the network. At Dynamic Networks, our cabling experts will work with you to define what data your business needs to fully function on a daily basis and then design a cabling system capable of quickly and efficiently transferring that data across your network, keeping your business running at its optimum level.

Cat 5e Cabling

Category 5e cabling is used for LAN network support and computer networks. It provides a standard performance of up to 100MHZ and it is suitable for fast Ethernet and gigabit Ethernet. Through the use of power over Ethernet or PoE, category five cabling can carry power as well as Ethernet data and it can also be used to carry telephony and video.

Cat 6 and Cat 6A Cabling

Category 6 cabling, or Cat 6 is a standardised twisted pair cable for Ethernet and other network physical layers. It is also backward compatible with Cat 5 Cabling. It features stricter specifications for crosstalk and system noise than Cat 5 cabling and it specific performance of up to 250 MHz. The Category 6A cable or Augmented Category 6 is characterised as up to 500 MHz performance capability and it has improve alien crosstalk characteristics.

Cat 7 and Cat 8

Category 7 cabling is used for the cabling infrastructure of Gigabit Ethernet and it offers performance capabilities up to 600MHz, that 6 times more performance than the standard Cat 5 cabling. It’s ideal for smart home installations. Last but by no means least, Category 8 cabling. Cat 8 is the latest network copper cable and it’s capable of supporting bandwidths up to 2000MHz or 2GHz making it one of the highest performance cable available to date.

If that all sounds like gobbledegook, then why not talk to our network and cabling experts today and let us untangle all the jargon for you and design the right cabling system for your IT network?
