Our largest automation & electrical installation to date

As their business continues to grow from strength to strength, popular aparthotels provider Room^zzz decided the time was right to open the brand new Room^zzz London Stratford and better yet, they chose Dynamic Networks as the networks, IT systems, security and automation partner to help them get the new building ready for launch on July 1st.

This isn’t the first time we’ve joined forces with Room^zzz though, having previously delivered our services across several of their Aparthotel buildings including Newcastle, Leeds Junxion House, Chester, Leeds City, Leeds City West, Manchester, Manchester Corn Exchange and Nottingham. What's different this time though, and makes this particular project just that little bit more exciting for Dynamic, is that it not only marks the opening of the very first Room^zzz Aparthotel in London but also sees our team deliver our largest automation and electrical installation to date.

The Dynamic Solution

The new Room^zzz Aparthotels London Stratford promises guests high-speed Wi-Fi and Smart TVs in every room, the deli and smart meeting rooms on the lower floors. Before starting any installation work on this project, we completed a full Ekahau survey to determine where sources of Radio Frequency (RF) interference may affect the Wi-Fi. This insured the Dynamic solution for wireless would be more than capable of delivering the full Wi-Fi coverage Room^zzz needed at the high speeds their guests expect.

The wireless network needed to be robust and we installed multiple access points to deliver coverage across the full site. We also configured the IT hardware including servers, switches, firewalls, UPS, backups, PCs and printers and well as forming a new data and communications room to securely house and manage all their business critical hardware.

This was a comprehensive project that also required a complete automation and electrical package including fittings, power and lighting to ensure its luxurious feel. The safety and comfort of guests staying in the aparthotel was paramount, therefore lighting was automated throughout the building and audio and visual systems were integrated into a single app controlled system for ease of use and effective management by staff moving forward.

A Comelit Audio Visual Access Control system was installed along with a site-wide IP CCTV system capable of delivering coverage to the entire building, providing comprehensive on site security. And last but by no means least, automated TV and audio was distributed throughout including the gym and meeting areas, providing modern entertainment options today’s distinguished hotel guests expect.

The benefits

With our previous experience working with Room^zzz, we were already familiar with the way the client likes to work and as a result, the project was completed in a minimal timeframe, starting in March and completing just before the 1^st July, right on schedule.

This marks the completion of our largest converged automation and electrical installation project to date which we’re extremely proud of. We used innovative, forward thinking systems to deliver the single app controller for the multiple electrical and IT systems, which firmly places Room^zzz ahead of the technological curve and with our ongoing support, they can rest assured their infrastructure will continue to be industry leading.
